Paul H. Begemann, Esq.

Attorney Begemann is a lifelong resident of New Haven County, Connecticut.  He grew up in Hamden, CT, and graduated from Hamden High School in 1980.  He then attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs, where he majored in Political Science.  He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude.  After working as a Legislative Aide in the Connecticut General Assembly, and living in New Haven, he attended law school, and graduated in 1990 from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC, with Honors.  He eventually returned to Hamden with his family, where he now resides with his wife and three children. 

He is admitted to practice in both Connecticut State Court and the United States District Court for Connecticut.  Attorney Begemann has been practicing law in Connecticut in the areas of real estate and business for many years and has many satisfied clients.  Attorney Begemann's clients appreciate his practical legal advice, and also that they have direct access to such an experienced and helpful local attorney to assist them with their real estate and business law issues.

Attorney Begemann's diverse experience includes practicing real estate, litigation and business law with a large law firm in Fairfield County, working as a manager and title underwriter in the Title Insurance industry, working as Counsel to a national mortgage lender and home builder, and working for a local real estate lawyer and title company performing real estate closings, title searches, and the resolution of complicated title issues.  Attorney Begemann's private practice is primarily focused in the areas of real estate and business law.  He handles large and small residential and commercial real estate transactions, represents buyers and sellers and performs mortgage settlements for lenders.  He is well versed in all areas of real estate closing and settlement practice, including short sales and the purchase of REO or bank owned real estate.  Attorney Begemann is also experienced in residential and commercial lease and financing transactions, and he regularly advises first time home buyers in the purchase of residential real estate. 

AREAS OF SPECIAL PRACTICE: 

In addition to his experience representing those buying, selling or financing real estate, Attorney Begemann has significant experience researching and resolving title issues.  This includes removing clouds on title, such as unreleased liens or mortgages, and resolution of ownership issues such as the failure to properly submit property to probate or deceased heirs.
